Not being a professional photographer, this is the best I could do. This is one of the finest pieces I own and have seen in quite some time. Lower mintage era. It does not come nicer than this. I am very pleased.

Thanks Lord. That is one element that this internet age has added to the hobby - being able to share the experience in having one of these in hand. Need to get a decent camera and understand how it can be done.

That is a real beauty ... the surfaces are beautifully toned and strike very crisp.
I'm sure it is indeed probably one of the finest out there if not the finest !!!

I predict I shall succumb to Thalermania within... oh, maybe two years or so.

I don't much have the budget for it, at least not on Zohar's level. But I'll probably find a way to map out a set of some kind that's doable on my modest income.

First I need to finish this semi-casual Liteside Barber half set. Then I can sell it off and use some of the funds for even bigger, chunkier, older pieces of silver. But I want to see how far I can get with that. Four active collections at a time is enough. No Thalermania for me... yet.

I think there is a valid argument that this era of Salzburg coinage was amongst the most beautiful in Austrian history.
