Pretty excited coin times in my area which is close to the home of former President Andrew Johnson. Released today, there were lots of local festivities and it even made the local news. Picked up a roll for myself at a local bank.

Nice to go to the event but the bank roll coins are basically just pocket change (as they are intended to be) since the new mint set now includes business strike coins that are of much better quality overall.

I know. I plan to pick out the best coins for my albums and put the rest in circulation as intended. Hopefully, with the launch right down the road, they will circulate locally at least for a little while. I have heard that the mint set stuff isnt the best.

At my local coin show last week, a dealer was making a market in these, buying at face + $5-10 and selling at face + $10-20. I didn't see if he bought or sold any but he was set up with a case full.

I picked up 9 rolls today. A couple of them went to our club's "Coins for As" program, with two more reserved for the TNA CFAs, and two rolls worth exchanged to club members tonight for cash. The baristas and post office tellers enjoy them as well.
