Ebay Bucks stop increase

Recently I bought couple coins and I found out that my ebay bucks stop increasing. Anyone knows why? Thanks.

If you paid by a method other than Paypal or merchant account CC processing, you won't get the EBay bucks credited. I recently made a purchase of a very expensive item that would have increased my credit substantially, but the arranged payment method didn't include a standard eBay checkout.

Indeed. They really should be called "Paypal bucks". I had a bunch to spend a little while ago. I won an auction from a seller that didn't accept Paypal (I didn't know this was even possible), and wasn't able to use my Ebay bucks to pay for it...

I paid with paypal. I think ebay has a cap on it. That's the reason. I think I should stop buying for two months and start again in April.

It isn't possible....what did you buy and do you have a seller id for the seller?

Terms say a maximum $500 in rewards per 3-month quarter ($200 max per transaction).

Earn Period and eBay Bucks Certificate.


3.1 "Earn Period" means the applicable calendar quarter (3-month period) during which eBay offers to an Eligible Participant the opportunity to accrue Rewards (defined below).

3.2 "eBay Bucks Certificate" means the certificate that eBay will issue to an Eligible Participant after an Earn Period based on the Rewards accrued, which will be valid for 30 days towards purchases on www.eBay.com (as described below).


Rewards. "Rewards" means a U.S. dollar amount which will be given in the form of an eBay Bucks Certificate (or, in eBay's sole discretion, cash) attributed to the Eligible Participant's eBay account and meets the following criteria:


4.1 Reward amount will be comprised of the base earn which is calculated as a percentage of Qualifying Spend plus any limited-time promotional offer(s) that eBay, in its sole discretion, may offer to Eligible Participants;

4.2 If the Qualifying Spend was for items listed on www.ebay.com in foreign currencies, the Reward amount will be calculated based on the exchange rate available to eBay at the time of payment (so the final Reward amount may differ slightly from the amount displayed at the time of purchase);

4.3 If eBay offers to an Eligible Participant multiple limited-time promotional offers for Rewards at any given time, that Eligible Participant will receive the promotional offer resulting in the highest Reward as calculated by eBay but limited-time promotional offers for Rewards may not be stacked or combined;

4.4 An Eligible Participant can earn up to $200 in Rewards for each transaction, regardless of the number of items purchased in that transaction;

4.5 Over the course of each Earn Period, Rewards are capped at $500 in Rewards for each Eligible Participant; >>

Accepting PayPal isn't a requirement for selling on eBay. You can use your own merchant account if you have one or another eBay approved electronic payment service (such as Moneybookers).
