Sacramento ANA in March - Here's a very neat museum to check out

For those going to the ANA Winter Convention in March, this is a really nice train museum. Most of it is indoors, so rain or shine works. It's just a short distance from the coin show. If you are into it, it will take a day to see it all. They even have a "Thomas" wooden train layout for the kids to play on. The museum is open everyday from 10 to 5.

That's an excellent museum for whomever enjoys the history of trains. The kids usually love it.

The kid in me loves it!

The adult in me is in awe of some of the 500,000 ton locomotives that used to traverse the continent!

I went to that museum about 15 years ago. It seems like it was either still new/under construction or being renovated at the time, but still very cool.

Where in Sacramento is the convention going to be held. I overnight not far from the museum. It will be cool if I could overnight there and walk to the convention.

The show is at the Convention center, 14th and J. You should be able to walk it.

Thanks for the info. I'm a flight attendant and we stay at the Holiday Inn downtown. Now all I have to do is pickup or trade for a Sacramento trip......and I can go see my sister too!
