For the Ike guys... Peg leg.

REcently picked up a few dozen Ike's from the local bank and for fun have been going through them and found a 74-D Peg Leg with a few scratches on it (left of ear & T to Y). Is it worth more than a buck.... ?

Very Nice Pegleg you've got there.

Finding these for 1974 can be challenging. image
I decided to change calling the bathroom the John and renamed it the Jim. I feel so much better saying I went to the Jim this morning.

    The name is LEE!

74D Peg Legs are far more scarce than most other clad Peg Leg Ikes. While the premium for circulated examples is not that high, finding uncirculated examples is a real challenge. I've personally never handled one better than MS65 (and those have been few), including some labeled higher in holders across the street.

There's a lot of Ike guys out there who have yet to find even one, and I think a lot of us would love to see this one recognized in the CPG, as they are very clear-cut peg legs and the scarcity/discovery rate of them makes it worthwhile/rewarding to hunt.

    Good find.

Is there a good website to get info on what date peg legs appear, or are they represented by every date, business and/or proof? I tried the like for ikegroup.org and I got an error message.

It did not work for me earlier, but is working now.
