Anyone know who the famous investor who predicts dire straits in 2011 that will change the way we do business, buy food, etc. "It's the biggest change in 50 years" the radio ad goes. The ad is very persistent. About a month ago I began hearing the ad but with different URL addresses, i.e. endofamerica22.com, endofamerica30.com, endofamerica40.com.... I typed it in back then and got nothing. Now it's just annoying.

Depressing video. Of course he tells you to buy gold and literally run for the hills.

So what's the world's most valuable asset he talks about that will save your family that has risen over 9000%
  • I listened to the whole thing a couple of weeks ago after hearing the ad on a local radio station. I bet that the number in the URL is a way to track where his hits are coming from to gauge the effectiveness of his advertising.

He says that the Big Event will be that the USD will cease to be the world's reserve currency. The program was really long, but as I recall, he believes that the Yuan or the Euro, or a mix of the two, will replace the USD. While I do recognize that the dollar is in big trouble, I have some questions about his scenario.

First, is there that much Yuan in circulation outside the PRC to effectively replace the USD? Second, how strong is the Euro? Don't they have a lot of the same problems that we do? What backs these currencies?

I think that what backs up the USD is the US military, and peaceful control of the oceans (except for the East African/Indian Ocean area, of course). Europe can't and won't offer this. While China might, does the rest of the world trust them not to act 100% in their own exclusive self-interest? Personally, I think the real game changer will be a catalysmic meltdown in the Middle East. If that goes really bad, the world reserve currency will be meaningless.

I never heard what was supposed to have such a fantastic return; just a pitch for a newsletter, of course.
    How 'bout them DAWGs!

    @ samingeorgia

i think if Greece, Portugal, Spain and the other weaklings are "kicked out" as Eurozone members, then the Euro will become a "weit reichend" currency if you get my drift.

I mentioned a while back about the 2010 IMF meeting discussing the reserve currency basket distribution. They do this every 5 years. Back in 2005 the Dollar was "strong" and politicians, bankers and country's couldn't get enough of "our" derivatives. I am curious to see how much the Dollar has been reduced in terms of percentage in that reserve currency basket since our 2008 financial meltdown and multi-trillion $$ spending on hope and change.

The IMF's findings of 2010 are to be officially released sometime in 2011. We've heard just a day ago from the IMF that we need a new reserve currency. I think they are floating some trial balloons. The Middle East is a nice diversion. The IMF has Special Drawing Rights built into their system decades ago and announced last year that SDR's will be backed by gold. It sounds as if they are preparing to unpeg from the Dollar.

If the Dollar continues to fade until 2015, I could see the Dollar being a minority player or completely cut out of the IMF basket and then allowed to hyper inflate. I don't think the "world" will wait for the 2020 meeting.

The numbers at the end of "endofamerica" are just a way for them to track how you heard about the website. Different numbers represent different marketing areas. My local area is 65. He has a bunch of good points in his video and mentions a lot of things that very well may come to fruition. That being said you have to take his pitch with a large grain of salt as it's just a sales ploy. The ultimate goal, which is not revealed until the end of the video, is to sign up for the paid subscription service they offer to get a bunch of books, newsletters and advice information.

I didn't sign up for the program with the "free trial period" so I don't know what this magical commodity is that he's saying is the be all, end all of stable and crisis proof investment. One chart showed in the video names this mystery product "The Noble Treasure". Google comes up with no useful information in regards to that term.

Scare tactics sales ploy. Martial law? 500 thousand dollars for a loaf of bread? Really???
Well, its a good thing that a comet the size of Jupiter is going to crash into or closely pass the Earth in December 2012. I dont think I could go on knowing that the house I paid 185,000 dollars for will only be worth 65 bancors. <eyeroll.
