"Cherrypicking" Retail Redux and different strategies thanks to forum members

Ankurj put up a thread about this topic, and I got a lot of heat with regards to my response to it, despite the fact that on two occassions I got burnt to a crisp for doing the right thing.

After discussing the situation with several forum members via PM's, and with a close friend of over 25 years, I am grateful for these people for taking the time in helping to do the ethical thing by coming up with a plan so both parties can benefit.

I did not want anyone to think that I was some sort of unethical sleezeball. What I did was justify doing something by previous results. As my good friend put it, "I would rather live in a dumpster than live in a mansion by stealing!"

Usually I am the one who people come to for advice because I have a very different and insightful way of looking at things. However, several thoughts that are "insightful" can also really suck. This was one of them.

I just want to move on from this. Everyone has errors in judgment. I never have done the wrong thing by anyone, and I want to make that perfectly clear.

Well... then it's probably good that you started this thread! image

Would you own the dumpster, or would it be stolen, err, I mean borrowed? image

That's funny. I felt it was appropriate to start the thread and to keep it civil to make it clear where I stood.
