Expo 67 Canadian set- packaging question

Hi all,
I am usually on the US coin forum, but today I am completely lost!
I bought this 1967 Canadian silver set a number of years ago. I am now trying to value it and am having difficulty because I have not seen any eBay listings with this set packaged like the one I have in hand is.

I researched Expo67 for a very short time and could not find any background on the origin of this set. Maybe there is an interesting story behind them?

The coins are in a blue velvet holder made of cardboard. The "lid" appears to be wrapped in vinyl and the emblem is gold-colored (Pictured below). The bad news, if it is anything special, is that I opened the cardboard so I could see the obverse of the coins because, like a crow, I am drawn to shiny things image.

Also, what is the value of this item in this (damaged) packaging, assuming no premium for beautiful toning?

Thanks in advance image
Dan

there were many after market containers made for the commemorative set

they have been mostly in the 20-35 range on eBay

can't even tell you how much silver as the quarters and dimes were in both 80% and 50%

the half and dollar in 80%

Fairly sure this is after-market. Caisse Populaire Desjardins is a savings bank in Quebec Province, I imagine these were available to account holders at the time. Seems like some nice toning on a few of those though.

As previously mentioned, this is an after market set. The toning looks very nice and the cent still looks bright red.

I, also, have this set including the outer cardboard box. The silver coins are very dark toned and the cent is R+B. I bought it about 15 years ago for $25US because I'd never seen it before. Later learned that it is valued based on the grades of the coins plus whatever the eye appeal may add (which is extremely arbitrary).

    I'd keep it as is.
