message board questions and etiquette from a noob..

Over the past few years I have found the message boards to be a great source of info and resource gathering. But I have not really found that great group of collectors with similar interest (i.e. the 1957's what a great group of collectors and cards). As a result, I was thinking of starting a thread titled something like : The Official Orioles collecting thread. Or something like that.. So I just wanted to get some insite from you guys and gals that use the boards more vigously than I do and to also make sure that there is not already some sort of Orioles thread already in place that I am not aware of. My goal is to gather an Oriole team set of graded Topps cards for every year. Advice and recommendations please..

The set registry forum might be a good place to start

    Hi Mike

    First thing - welcome!

As it goes for starting a thread - your dime is as good as mine - IMO - you're welcome to start any thread you like - if it has legs - it'll move - if not - well....ya gave it a try.

I would recommend searching the old threads by googling different topics and also as was recommended - check out the Registry Forum.

Good luck - don't be a stranger - eventually you will meet others who share your focus.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
