Merc People: Are "Outsiders" allowed on Our Threads??

FairlanemanFairlaneman Posts: 10,423 ✭✭✭✭✭
What the Heck. We have been Invaded by Outsiders calling Our coins Thin Pieces of Metal, Fishing Lures and Threating Us with the Use of Polls to take Care of Us.
Are We Going to Put Up with this kind of Horse Dung from these Pocket Change Collectors. I say NO. Lets Get a Battle Plan together and take care of them once and for all.
Read a couple of Our Threads and you will see what they have been doing this afternoon.

You got it all wrong Ken. If anybody has ever had, owned, found, bought, sold, or in any other fashion had in their possession a Merc, then they are by defination, a merc personimageimageimage and are part of the familyimage That includes slugs from electrical boxesimageimage

                  Ken,

I say let them all in. You will notice that we do not rise to the "bait" thrown out by others easily. I guess it is because we realize that the "big" sets are way out of reach. We work within our own reality and root others on. There are a few folks here who could take a page from our camarderie here.

I have to go look at the ACG 39-S on ebay. If they say it is a 68FB, maybe it has a shot at 65FB. I was hoping one of them might be bought at a decent price and cracked out. There is no way a crossover is going to happen IMHO. good luck!

                  Ken:

I didn't reply until now because I was working to earn money to buy more slugs...or darkside coins...or...well heck, I don't care what I buy, as long as PCGS slabs it and I can put it in a registry set!

They refer to Merc's as "fishing lures", and then threaten us with polls (or maybe it should be "poles" image) I say let 'em in. Maybe it will discourage others from collecting Merc's, and help keep demand and prices down.

Spooly: I happen to think some tokens and darkside coins are pretty interesting, so thanks for the comparison. I take that as a compliment,,,,,,,,,but to say we're just a notch above stamp collectors is sheer blasphemyimage. If you get our dander up, this group might have to devise some form of punishment for you, such as mailing you the fish we catch using our homemade lures. What did you say your address was?image

Your comments are always welcome. We like to have a good time, even if it's at our own expense.

                  Fairlaneman,

Just ignore them, Mercs are beautiful coins and they're jealous.

                10. Even though I don't understand why anyone would put wings on Liberty's head I won't disciminate against the collectors. Split pants(?) or not we should be fair and treat them like we do those who collect real coins.

Okay, Ken. You wanna handle this one? I would suggest that it's the same reason that "outsiders" would be an oxymoron on a Merc thread! image

                  Sorry Guys:
And here You thought My Main Focus was Mercury Dimes With or With Out "Split Pants".image Ya I liked that Also. But Who is that Guy that is Running Our Ladies Down ???
Yes Much Agreed some Nice Additions Added Today. Jon was telling the Truth when He said He was after Me.image
Spooly I will get you for Letting the Cat Out of the Bag about My other Collecting Interest.image
                      1. I've got no beef against the ladies. But at the show when one collector said to the other, "Turn 'er over George, and see if the pants are split," I started thinkin those merc collecters were a perverted sort. I mean shes got enough problems with the bad hair day and all without those perverts with a 16X looking for a thrill.
