GPS recommendation

I'm looking for a hand-held GPS that allows me to put in a fair amount of waypoints. I'd like one that also provides for altitude. The GPS will primarily be used for fishing on some large lakes, not road navigation.

I know Garmin is considered one of the finest manufacturers, but the selection is a bit overwhelming.

Pls PM with any suggestions.

Thanks,
Al

I have used both Garmin and TomTom and have not had one problem. I used a Navicon and had nothing but trouble with them.

I agree! I use the GPS on my Droid and it works great.

    54 Topps...

I have a Droid phone, I've scanned the marketplace, which app to do have loaded? Is it a free or paid app?. This may well be what I need.

    Tks,

I'd stay away from GPS graded cards.
