Opinions again on another 50's great..

I'm on a roll and doing a run on my 50's greats which i've decided to emphasize my collection on higher than usual grade (for me) on pitchers like Koufax and Gibson.

I know most have you have seen this one listed for awhile on the bay, it's from the Lionel Carter collection and in an SGC holder, would like your opinions on the quality of the card, including if you see the same slight tilt that I do?

Question for me is if it will have a successful chance at crossover to PSA, I know it'd be a tough one being that its a .5 grade and also noted as a Lionel Carter, but would PSA be more likely to oblige on the .5 and match it because of the Lionel Carter origination?

As always appreciate those opinions and apologize to those who are annoyed with my constant posts about similar topics.

I doubt it would cross. I would not have the nerve to crack it out. Probably wouldn't want to since it is part of the Lionel Carter Collection.

I think it is perfect where it is, Psa might be able to pedigree the holder if it did cross

Dont think it will cross. Looks more like a 8.4 and not a slam dunk 8.5 if you know what I mean

I like it - and right where it is - with the Carter pedigree.

That's a very generous 92, with the slight tilt, two top corners look touched and the spot on the bottom border to the right. Considering it's got the Carter label and now in a 92, I wouldn't chance popping it. Would you be as happy if it came back in PSA 8 or 7.5? Didn't think so.

the way things seem to be going lately, i'd fear a PSA 7 smackdown. JMO.

I personally think it would cross as long as the stain on the bottom right border is on the slab and not the card. I'd only cross it if they'll likewise label the card as being from the Carter collection.

The tilt, while there, isn't really a distraction. I've seen worse 9s.
