    It must have been so hot it caught fire and Becket had to put it out by destorying the value. How come they always toot their own horn by jacking up the prices of their graded cards? They also when bgs was new, always ran around saying how much stricter, and therefore better they were. Nothing like a case of nepatism.

    Reminds me of when JFK made his little brother the Attorney General.

    no price is still 80$ he dropped it like 4 months ago. I have an ebay auction up right now for 15 of them. Have had 3 offer through email 1-600 1-650 and 1-700 I passed on all of themimage

    Maybe the Griffey UD RC is HOT because it is only $80. At $80 people are interested in buying, $150 they may hold off. Let's not kid ourselves this card is not that rare. You can find at least a dozen on ebay on any given day.

    That's the main reason I rarely pay any attention to beckett. Beckett does whatever to benefit them. Just like they are the cause of the declining prices of inserts (non-game used). To save THEM space in their price guides, they removed the insert listings and just added multipliers which has nothing to do with the card actual book value. When they converted over to the multiplier system, a bunch of cards dropped in BV by 1/3 in one month. Now, since they put majority in the quarterly, no one bother with them. Beckett is not a reliable source. Just like they entered the grading market (which Dr. Beckett said they wouldn't do). Now there is BGS, BVG, BCCG, and now RCR (Raw Card Review). And you wonder why a lot of people are getting out of cards. Majority of the people who quit were investors and found out how much of a joke it is to "invest" in cards. I haven't bought a beckett in a while and only had OPG because I won it in their monthly contest.

    auto~ It depends on the player and cards your investing in. If your going to invest money into a stephon marbury psa 10 or bgs 9.5 96 chrome refractor and expect to be rich one day.......Of course that's stupid.

    If you invest into the right cards and are not afraid to buy players you dislike, because they play on a team you don't like. You will be way better off.

    Stick to autos and rare rc's

    Ok then you must be providing your leave of absense of the card hobby today saying something like that right?

    I don't expect you wasting your time and money in this hobby any more saying something like that right?

    Don't be mad that the only player worth putting your money into is kobe and he doesn't play in the east coast. I'll be happy to see you go off wasting your money in reebok iverson stock market.
