Anyone else having a problem with ebay tonight?

I can't seem to place anything on my watch list. The format also seems a bit different and on most auctions I click on, there us a big gap from the end of the description to the bottom of the listing........sort of

like this but much longer.

Is it my computer maybe?
Thanks,
Bob

  • It's your computer. That happens when I have too much stuff running and my available system resources are low. Try closing your browser and reopening it, or just restart the computer.

I just removed an item from my watch list and added it back on with no difficulty. Seems unlikely they'd make any system changes late on a Friday night... maybe early Sunday morning, but not Friday night.
  • Didn't see any difference with e-bay tonight, was able to put things on my watch list with no trouble.

You need to upgrade your browser. The big spaces represent code your browser can't process. Another possibility is that you might have
accidentally disabled "javascript". Check to make sure it is enabled.

    OK Thanks everyone.

    How do I check javascript?

    Thanks again,

For me, it's EDIT->PREFERENCES->ADVANCED->SCRIPTS & PLUGGINS. This only applies to Mozilla. Anything else like IE (which I've never used)
    will probably be different.

You might try exiting your browser and restarting it to see if that helps. If a browser becomes confused (as in tripping a code bug), restarting it could also
    help.

Here is the workaround for saving to your WATCH list. I have to do it on my home system, as I have an older non-PC computer.

o On the auction page, somewhere near the top is "Sign out.". Click it.
o After signing out, go back one page, to the page you signed out on.
o Redraw that page. It will now say "Sign in or register" at the same location. Do *NOT* click it.
o In the upper right, click on the "Add to Watch list". You'll be prompted to login. After login completion, your item will be in the watch list.
Do *NOT* use the "Add to Watch list" below "Place bid". It won't work.

In all scenerios except the above one, the "Add to Watch list" calls a javascript application. In the scenerio above, the button actual calls up a URL.
