1948 Bowman Musial- real or fake?

I'm not even sure if this card has been counterfeited, but I assume it has. So is the card pictured legit or fake? This is the only pic I can get.

I can't tell anything from a photo like that - but the 48B set was reprinted - so anything's possible?

Gee I always think of something else when asked "real or fake".........

It is a poor picture so it is difficult to tell.

Some people forget that this is the "Sports cards & memorabilia forum" and the "rules" set out really don't prevent people from doing much.


This is one of the better threads people post. I'm happy with the "Is this fake/who's auto is this" rather than the "FAKE ENVELOPE??????!?!??111!!!1111!!!???"

Lee, really tough to tell without seeing the back of the card. The 48 Bowman has been reprinted, and is heavily counterfeited. See if you can get a scan of the back and put on the this thread, and I will try to help you out.

It looks as good as a a counterfeit Gretzky without the reprint stamp.

The card was reprinted as an insert into 89 bowman IIRC.

That's about all I got.
