Poll: Comic book grading vs. coin grading

I met a guy at the local club that started collecting coins about two years ago. He was extremely confident in his coin grading abilities, to the point where he not only thought he could grade but also figure out which coins were likely to get stickers. I tried to explain to him the subtleties of coin grading, but because he was an expert in grading comic books, he thought the skills were transferrable. I know next to nothing about grading comic books. Probably most forumites are in the same boat, but what say you?
