NEWP Toned Morgan! Guess the grade!

She is in an NGC old fattie holder. Slab was very badly scratched up. I got most of them out but there are still some scuffs here and there.

I'd guess 64. 65 if the lustre's a bit stronger in hand.

Color's nice, but I'd give it a 63... obverse is very nice, but seems the reverse just has too many blemishes to garner a 4 or better...

Some of that perimeter is a little "O-ish" but overall that's not a bad strike for that mint. I'll say it could go MS65 at PCGS. Nice warm feeling with that color, too.

Its tough to capture both the toning and luster at the same time. Will post the grade tomorrow.

Old fattie 64+. I see 6 separate areas of scuffs/hits on the reverse. The coin might have been a technical 65/64 back in the old days.

Today that should overall be 65 or maybe even 65+. Toning probably muting the luster enough where a 66 grade might be too much of a stretch considering the reverse hits.
