1966 Topps-Venezulean....how exactly do you know?

I can honestly say that I really don't know anything about this issue. What makes them Venezulean? Is there anything written on the cards? I've heard slightly different back color...but how can that be exact as the color varies on all the issue in regards to brightness and toning. I will scan a card that I have that maybe one. I'm thinking it's not because it doesn't look like crap. Thanks for any info on this.

I didn't really think that. I have no idea.

the backs are much darker.

It's Topps. Just looked at mine, exactly the same, for some reason no Topps copyright on the reverse. Never noticed that before, wonder if there are examples with the copyright.

It's not just the back. The card stock is much grainier on the Venezuelans, and usually has a creamy tint to the white.

Here is a comparison of the backs of OPC, Topps and Venezuelan Topps. The card stock is very poor with the Venezuelans.



The fronts have no gloss to them.

I bought this raw many years ago on "fee-bay", and as a low grade topps card. When I received it in was a Topps-Venezulean

I slabbed it!.

You can see the darker tone, as mentioned above, and the poor quality card stock is noticeable when directly compared to a topps or opc example.
