Been saving some cash for awhile and ready to make a purchase. Anywhere I can use paypal besides ebay? I think Gainesville quit accepting paypal.

I wouldn't hesitate to send wire transfer or cashiers check to a reputable dealer. That is how most of them prefer payment. Anyone that uses paypal is going to pass on the fee in their price. Try tulving.com for best prices if buying quantity.

There's a Precious Metals forum here that has a monthly BST (buy, sell, and trade) thread. See what they have and also post what you are looking for. Most will take paypal payments and you can get some really good deals by cutting out the middleman dealer.

Suggest going to the monthly precious metals BST (buy, sell, and trade) thread. See what they have and also post what you are looking for. Many on there will take paypal payments and you can get some really good deals by cutting out the middleman dealer.

Provident charges a 2.7% paypal processing fee.

If you total up their cost for a monster box of ASEs with silver at 30.24 you get a total cost of 16906.70 (includes their 24.95 shipping fee). That's 33.81 per ASE.

Tulving has the same monster box for 16,415 delivered. That's 32.83 per ASE. Almost a buck cheaper.

Of course the advantage to using paypal to purchase is that you can charge the item to your credit card. However, if you end up paying CC interest on your PMs, you've added more cost to them.

  • Yes Tulving's prices are lower, assuming you're buying at least 20 ozt. of gold / 500 silver.

For smaller purchases Provident is who I'd recommend.
