Will work for food! COIN SHOW WANT LISTS

Hey Everyone,

I've never really posted here so I'm a new guy on the block. I just wanted to put my name out there to any of you that might be looking for another dealer to work with. I've been in coins since diapers, but I've only been a full time dealer for a little over a year. Basically, I thankfully, was laid off at my old job and decided to take a leap into the very competetive coin market. It takes a while to build a business, but I've actually done fairly well and have no complaints. I've been blessed to have some great customers and been able to keep them. Like everyone else says, I'm an honest and straight shooting type of person, but I would like the opportunity to prove it.

So, if anyone has a want list of things they are looking for...give me a shot at it. Also, I'm always buying and trading. I have built a huge network with dealers all across the country and I have access to just about anything. I am also doing shows just about every weekend, so availability is increased. Put me to work, and make me prove myself to you. Jake

UPDATE: 2/25/2011

Thanks to all of you that have responded and for all the business! We've got the show in Spartenburg, SC starting today. I'm using it as mainly a buying show, and will not have a table. There are alot of dealers at this show and many deal to be had.

PM, EMAIL, or call with your WANT LIST, and let me see what I can find! Thanks, JakeText

Welcome aboard! I think it might be helpful to have some inventory on your website that is available for purchase.

  • Thanks. I use too have inventory listed, but with the low margins I work with most things have less than a month of shelf life. So, i was spending way too much time adding and removing things from the site. Jake

    Welcome, Jake!
You and your wife are a lovely couple, and look very happy. image
I have to agree with carew4me - the BST (Buy/Sell/Trade) forum here is one of the best "Online coin stores" I know of. So if you don't have time to list coins on your own site, this is a viable secondary option.
A third option would be to hire ME to do it, as I have been known to do webmastering work for coins. image
I work in IT and an webmaster for several commercial websites and even a US Military website (where I work full time).
At any rate, best of luck and welcome to CU!

  • Thanks Dwayne. I might take you up on that offer. I built the site myself and don't know what I'm doing so it is certainly amatureish! But I use it more as a reference point for people so it gets the job done there. However, I will keep you in mind because i'm wanting to do some upgrades and get better visability in the near future.

OK Jack here is some work for you.
Find me a 1901-O Barber Half XF40 to AU with a nice undisturbed look to it, a medium gray, some peripheral toning, no major marks and a minimum of hairlines.
<<< there is my ex. Looking to replace her.
    Welcome.

  • Welcome aboard! I just posted an easy-peasy WTB:

I'd rather go here than eBay! (But I do have a clean eBay feedback record - questor54).

I would like to buy a nice single Washington/Carver in PCGS 65 or better for my commemorative type set. White or toned coin both considered.

Please eMail to director@cmcginc.com with your best price, delivered. Pictures appreciated. Please put COINS in the subject line so I do not miss your eMail. I will do a PayPal gift.

    Thank you very much!

I'm honestly not trying to be a jerk, but is this thread appropriate on the BST Forum? Seems it could be served better on the U.S. Coin Forum which would get more exposure for you Jake, or thru using the PM feature and keeping things like this more private. Friends bumping it to the top because they had a positive deal is not really the intended use on this Forum as I understand it.
I'm sure someone will scold me if they feel differently.

Either way, welcome and best of luck. This truly is a great place to do business.
