Probably not as good as last week. You might run into a buying frenzy. image

  • I'd wait a couple months for prices to come down a tad, but then you need to ask yourself a couple questions:

    1) Do you think the Packers will repeat?

    2) Will Rodgers have a HOF career?

If you don't think they will repeat, then next year is the time to buy the card, but a repeat will send his cards through the roof. I was looking at some of his auto rookies a couple weeks ago. I'm kicking myself, as the prices are about double right now for the cards I was looking at.

It's that one or SP Authentic that seem to be the big two.

That would be his best RC.

This is the worst time to buy his cards, they will sell right now for an all-time high. Wait a few months and some of the hype will wear off.

If the player was just the super bowl mvp, it's not the time to buy his cards. golden rule.

  • Here is the breakdown on Aaron Rodgers and any other cant miss rookie. The potential value of his cards were met back when Favre was set to retire from the Packers. Essentially, it's automatic, once a QB gets the starting nod, his cards start to skyrocket. When he was drafted by the Packers, it was known he was the future of Green Bay. So before he took a snap, there was value to collectors. When Favre retired and he became the starter, values once again increased. The last couple years have seen him throw for some good yardage, again, an increase but stabilization in prices. Remember, modern rookie price points are maxed once these players have a solid/breakout season. Of course, this is all my opinion and I may not know what I'm talking about. What I do know is that it's a time to sell. I dont see his cards going any higher than now.

To answer the OP's question, his top two are the Exquisite and SP Authentic. However, going against all rules with Exquisite....his SP Authentic is his best. Limited to 99 with an on card auto and jersey.
  • Im not sure what his best card would be but I know that his Exquisite card is probably his most expensive rookie along with his SP auto. I've been collecting his PSA Rookie set this football season and have picked up some nice PSA 10 rookies at a very reasonable cost. However his PSA 10 Exquisite just recently sold for $2500. A raw version of that card sold for $1300. I would guess that a 05 SP auto PSA 10 would sell for about $2500 also. I have picked up some of his 05 PSA 10 autos and none of them were over $1000 (including his SPX auto PSA 10). However, now that he won a SB, I think that put him in the discussion as one of the best QBs playing today and will bring his card prices a lot higher.
I'm always looking for more Maddux psa 10's:
