Trivia Question with Prize!

I will post a trivia question in a few moments - the winner gets a special prize selected especially for him.
Name the last pitcher whose final game on the mound before retirement was a complete nine inning effort with no strikeouts.
edited to add the pitcher is retired

Edited because I can't spell "Glavin"
<< <i>Tom Glavin >>
close, but not really
<< <i>Tommy John? >>
nope
<< <i>Doyle Alexander? >>
Nope
Hint: in the two years he won twenty games, he hit three and two home runs.
<< <i>Jim Kaat? >>
nope
He played for two different teams in the same city during his career
<< <i>Mike Torrez? >>
Nope
Since you seem to be the only playing, I'll give some more hints:
This pitcher won less than 100 games lifetime, and was a two time all star
Edit, I can't read obviously, less than 100 wins...
<< <i>Dennis Eckersley? >>
Nope, let's see what else I can give ya.
You are off by a generation or two
Pitched his first MLB game at the age of 19
Piched his last MLB game at the age of 38
<< <i>Hal Newhouser? >>
Nope, he retired a few years before Newhouser came up
<< <i>Babe Ruth >>
WINNER!!!! Congrats!
I would say that 9/28/74 Wilson pitched a shutout with no strikeouts. I would guess that was his last game.

Gotta admit it was a complete guess.

That was Wilson's last game - amazing. Let me check the box score; I may have erred.

I stand humbley corrected. Would hhmag70 and georgebailey2 please send to me shippingaddresses and I'll get stuff out. Wow! Who woulda thought Wilson (who once struck out 18 in a game) would strike out zero in 9 innings.
Nice job guys!
<< <i>I believe Wilson only played in the NL his entire career, as well as one team - not matching your criteria set forth
True, but my original question only dealt with the final game and the following clues were misleading. My bad.

On a different note:
Very unsatisfying ending to the "NOT GOOD" thread. It had a lot of drama. Unfortunately, an evasive OP and two hijackings (the turtle stuff and then the poofing material) gave us no closure.
It will be interesting to see when Capital Sports re-lists the Sawchuk Bee Hive assuming he did not give the underbidder a 2nd chance offer.
Thanks again Wondo for the set and the trivia contest.
