Wire Photos

Does anyone collect these? I've seen a few that look awesome. Seems like it would be fun because they are so easy to display and enjoy. I almost bought a 1926 Babe Ruth Wire photo of him in a Drake Football uniform, but the bidding got up to 1k!!! Anyone know a bit more about this collecting niche? Enjoy the super bowl!

I enjoy collecting them (as well as laser photos)....I collect Orioles with an emphasis on Jr., Sr. & Billy......(I also enjoy getting them signed)

I know I posted this in December, but here is one signed by Bill Ripken from the day my son was born and one from Cal Jr. after a pitch cracked his helmet back in '82:

i have a few music related ones that were used for reporting on famous musicians deaths (Marley, Lennon, Buddy Holly, etc...), they are all dated on the reverse.

i have seen many sell for almost nothing but as you mentioned they can get pricey.
