So, no, I haven't had any experience with them. Neither should you.
Am I still considered a troll now?

Probably a reprint!

No, I'm the troll.
Perhaps I'm the only one, but I'm not comfortable with the signature. I may be wrong, but it appears to have too many characteristics from different eras without being identifiable to a specific period.
PSA will slab signed counterfeits and reprints.
My guess is the seller or submitter couldn't get this in a JSA or PSA slab.
It's also important to keep in mind that a card has less available signing space than most photos, and when we see one name on top of another, it's usually an indication that there wasn't enough space to sign both first and last names straight across. Occasionally this can cause some of the letters to be slightly distorted compared to a "perfect" signature.
I'm looking at the first two letters of the first name. On the slabbed card, the transition from the M to the A is one continuous stroke. On the photo, the same transition is clearly two separate strokes where the pen was lifted after completing the M, and starting the A.
With that said, I'm definitely not an expert in signatures, but this caught my eye. Was this variation normal for Mantle?
