    IN

    Faulk
    Sanders

Love to see the other 3 be:

    Roaf
    Haley
    Sharpe or Dent

But I do not think Roaf gets in this year, I think Sabol takes his spot.

Hope neither Senior Guy gets in. I could live with Hanburger though.
    Looking for FB HOF Rookies
  • Deion and Faulk are tops...followed by Sabol....

The other two are tough calls....I want to say Dawson and Cortez or Haley

Carter better get in - arguably the 2nd greatest WR ever.

Sabol is an icon, but I don't think non-players should be on the same ballot as people who actually played the game.

Richard Dent, Marshall Faulk, Chris Hanburger, Les Richter, Ed Sabol, Deion Sanders and Shannon Sharpe were elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame Saturday.

woot! Two Rams in the class of 2011. Faulk we all know.

from espn.com's story: Les Richter played linebacker for the Los Angeles Rams from 1954-62. They traded 11 players for him and waited two years while he was in the military before he suited up. He made the wait worthwhile , going to eight straight Pro Bowls. He also was a center and kicker.

Anyone that doesn't include Hanburger on their list doesn't know football.
He was as dominant and as consistant as any outside linebacker in the history of the game.

The reason he didn't get in on the regular ballot was that he could care less about reporters.
He looked at the NFL as a job and he prepared and did the best job he could as a professional.
Something many of the current so called stars are greatly lacking.

Richter was also a stud and very deserving.

To say that the veteran selections this year are weak is a total joke.

Roaf was also as dominant at his position as anyone.

It is too bad people now look at flash instead of substance, professionalism and consistancy.

I'll take a 10 - 15 tackle linebacker over a meaningless 1 sack 'backer every day of the week.

Thank you for allowing my rant.

    The results are in:

Sanders and Marshall Faulk led a class of seven voted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame on Saturday. Joining them were Shannon Sharpe, Richard Dent, Ed Sabol, Les Richter and Chris Hanburger.

All very deserving selections. This ballot was one of the stronger ones.

LOL! I was 0-5, the criteria has got to be completely subjective. Unlike others i completely disagree with "prime time" getting in...............then again i was 0-5 image

    I totally agree.

Glad to see Ed Sabol recognized for all his work for the last 50+ years documenting the NFL. I'm sort of curious why they didn't also include his son Steve for the HOF. He's been a driving force working for his dad for so many years at NFL films. He's 68 now and he's worked there nearly 50 years too. A father-son combo election would have been pretty cool.

It's too bad Les Richter passed away last year.

I will absolutely admit to knowing nothing about football players from before my time (I'm 33). But I have to ask - in what way is Cris Carter not a HOFer?

He was a possession receiver. He's rightfully seen as a guy who caught a TON of short passes - and not much else. Was never the top WR in the league, or really even in the discussion (granted, he played during the time of Jerry Rice & Randy Moss...). He's seen as a numbers compiler who was never truly an elite guy.
