<< <i>He also has a great deal on a PSA 9 Jordan. I have no familiarity with ioffer, but I assume you tread carefully with a seller feedback of 0. >>
Considering no PSA 9 has sold for less than $900 that I can find, one should be VERY CAREFUL buying from this person.
STAY HEALTHY!

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.
<< <i>IMO this Ruth made 14 years after he retired is one of the most overrated cards in the hobby. >>
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

Different strokes...but I hear what you're saying. Along the same lines, how about the 1940 Play Ball Shoeless Joe Jackson? Card sells for mad money, he had been out of the game for 20 years by that point!
Don't get me wrong, I'd LOVE to have either card in my collection!
Same applies to Don Hutson's '55 Topps AA "rookie" card. He had been retired for several years when it was released. That one makes more sense to me though because it's his only traditional 'card'. The Wheaties boxes aren't considered cards by many, myself included.

The 1948 Ruth card always seemed creepy me. Those red eyes always made Ruth look evil or as if he was super stoned on some nasty nasty ganja.

It does have the same markings as the Goodwin auction card. Even has the same frosting on the upper right hand side:

<< <i>A so called dealer from NC is selling a 1948 Ruth psa 8 for 2k. Seem way to low? Is this card worth at least 5? Go to ioffer.com..thx >>
That is one ugly 8, the registrations is so off it makes the card look like a strip card image.
