Time for my giveaway, ends 2-14-11 coin and a car print Winner is Lord Marcovan

Winner is Lord Marcovan. Congratulations.
Please pm me with your shipping address and let me know your choice of which car print.
Thanks,
Richard

I won the wonderful giveaway from Hussulo and am so thrilled with it. I got the Lusitania medal. I hope you find this neat piece, that I haven't been able to figure out much about, interesting too. If you go to my car art at the link below and type in the title of one of paintings I will also give you something car art wise. I will try and do a 10'x 15" print of one of the paintings you like. I have most prints available. Some are not at this time though.
I will end this on 2-14 at midnight pst. I will draw a name out of a hat.

Here is the piece. if you want to try and figure out what it is and let others know that would be great. But don't let on what the value might be until it goes to the new owner. It might be some kind of a lead splasher but I really have no idea. It is just one of those things that always fascinated me. Feel free to ask questions. Make sure you you pick a print. I will remind the winner anyway though.
Added another little thing that I always found cool.
Good luck,
Richard

    I'm in, thanks.

I knew it had something to do with the Reformation (I thought the portrait was of Luther, at first glance), but I really don't know much about this piece at all and look forward to reading more about it (if not owning it). image

Ohboyohboyohboy, I won and didn't even realize it until just now when I was scrolling down the forum. (Good thing he put my name in the title or I might have forgotten to wander back through!)

Thanks! PM on the way shortly. I appreciate it!

(And y'all know I will have a future giveaway of my own, of course.)

As to your car art (which I've long admired), I am gonna email my father a link to your gallery and let him choose one, as I'll be giving the print to him as a gift. So I'll get back with you on that. I didn't see any Volkswagens, but I'm not done looking around. Dad's a VW buff.

Sure would be great if you'd done a Karmann-Ghia... image

PS- I am very intrigued to learn more about this medal.

PS- this Zurich ducat was pointed out to me, and it shares a similar obverse, so I am guessing the piece I just won is of early-19th century issue, anyway?
