Belarus USS Constitution Ship Coin

Came across this one on eBay this afternoon, while avoiding work. I don't go for the hologram/gilded/whatnot hype, but if I did, this one would probably be the one I bought. I quite like the reverse.
Belarus has come out with some beautiful designs in very small mintages over the last few years that I've noticed them.

I agree that the design is very attractively designed. 2 questions come to mind.
1. What relationship does Old Ironsides bear to the history and culture of Belarus?
2. If you took this coin to Belarus and tried to spend it, would anyone there recognize it or have seen one before?

Then again, building on what Lynch said, the USS Constitution probably has only slightly less connection to Belarus than Belarus has to whoever designed, minted and distributed this on their behalf.
But I agree, it is a nice design

None at all. Belarus is landlocked. At the time the Constitution served as an active warship, Belarus was a part of the Russian Empire. The closest the Constitution came to what is now Belarusian territory would have been the port of Tripoli in what is now Libya.

Belarus has never issued circulating coinage and has not known the concept of using coins for money since the collapse of the USSR. Very few people in Belarus will be aware that Belarus issues any kinds of coins at all.
Of course, once they became convinced the coins you were trying to force upon them were silver, they'd gladly take them off your hands for face value for you. There's 80,000 rubles worth of silver in that 20 ruble coin.

Apparently I have been awarded the DPOTD twice.
20/80,000 is pretty extreme

I agree, they are very attractive designs.
I wonder where they are being struck?

Never mind, I think I have found the answer.
