I've gone through 4 Dell's since 05 and bought a Mac Mini not long ago.
I've been using Adobe Photoshop and Photoscape... I really like Photoscape but it only runs on windows.
What are you Apple users using
Thanks in advance!

Then they should have bought a PC instead of a Mac.
Seriously, why not use Photoshop Elements? It's $80 and you might even be able to get a time-limited trial version for free from Adobe. Here's an article comparing Photoshop with Photoshop Elements.

That's what I did for all my drafting programs and photo imaging programs
Btw if you run them at the same time, you can drag images back and forth from Mac to Windows

40 bucks and there's probably a shareware version you can try before you buy.

It's a great image editor, and for $49.95 it is a heck of a lot cheaper than Photoshop! You can try it for awhile for free to see if you like it.

if your looking for a cheat one just use iphoto..... it can be useful
is required for new Macs.

Yes that is true. You should be good because your Mac should last another 5 years without a problem. Macs are the best and the least expensive cause they last so darn long. The op said he went thru 4 dells in that time, that is why PC's cost WAY MORE than macs
Also: iPhoto! Comes free on all new Macs! DOH! You can do
basic adjustments (brightness and contrast) with it.

PS Elements is just as good as PS, without the high cost of entry. While PS Elements does not have all of the features of PS, it has most features that mere mortals need to use.
You can also load Windows onto the Mac via a program like VMWare Fusion and run nearly as well as native Windows. Of course, you could also install Windows onto Boot Camp and run Windows programs "just like a Dell." Then again, if you want to run Windows just stick with Windows OS.
Just go to your local Apple Store and talk to one of the geniuses there if you need any help.
