I just added a really neat Roosevelt variety to my sets.....

It's the 1954 DDR FS-801. This is as far as I know the only example of this variety known. I saw it on ebay and had to have it. It's only an XF, and I'm pretty sure it is the same coin pictured in the CPG. Like I said it is the only one know to me. If anyone ever sees another one in a higher grade let me know.

There is a pic in my sets courtesy of Greg (Keyman64).

Thanks for looking.

For the ONLY EXAMPLE KNOWN, you should post this in the US Coin Forum as well...there seem to be a few more readers over there. image Not my photos, just the ones from the seller...tried to put lipstick on a pig sorta thing.

Great score. I would love to have an MS example of the 54 DDR.

Nick, I keep looking as I'm sure you do at every 1954 dime. Haven't seen another one yet!

I'm sure there are some out there somewhere.
