Trying A New E-bay selling tactic!

I made a video of my coin, uploaded to Youtube and put a link to that video in my Ebay add.
I don`t know if I`m the first to do it, but I have never seen it done before.

You are not the first. There are several sellers that I have seen do this. Most of the time, it is with very overgraded junk coins. Sellers trying to fetch hundreds for a coin worth a few tens. I have not looked at your video, but good luck with it.

Our boy BNB commented on the video. I agree with him. Subdue the breathing a little and the video is a nice addition to photos.

Ebay forbids you linking to an outside site, I believe. Might get nuked.

Heritage does this on their more valuable coins. You need to keep the coin at one level and rotate it in the light slowly. You are moving it way too fast in my opinion.

It's not working for me, the heavy breathing, coin is spinning wobbling, makes me think you've been hitting the sauce...image

I am not sure of your camera, but you may consider having the coin fixed and in focus and rotate the light source

I have seen other sellers link a you-tube video and had comentary on the coin

    I've done it before.

This was my first attempt. Not exactly Academy Award material, but I had fun with it. image

Mostly I did it because I was having a fiendish time capturing the luster on that medal, so I figured if I moved it around under the light and let people see its "flash", it would sell. It did, so in that regard I suppose the movie was a success.

(BTW, I had the same problem with heavy breathing as you did, so I laid a seemingly appropriate music track over it and deleted the original audio).

This is a great idea, but have never seen it done well. Most video cameras do not do well when Macro photos are required. I thought about creating a small rotating device that would "roll" the coin like you would in hand and keep the camera steady. Shoot about five or six slow turns to really show the whole coin. I think it would make a great invention and would be good for the hobby.
