Card loose in PSA holder

I tried searching for the answer but could not find one.

What do I do with a card that is loose and moves very easily inside the PSA holder? Can I send it back to PSA to get re-holdered? What if I am not a member? Any help is appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the boards.

One need not be a member in order to have a mechanical issue resolved.

I think, you have to call customer service so they can send you a form.

Be careful, you may not like the remedy.

    Good for you.
  • Very true! You don't want it to get reslabbed in a lower grade....

  • They have a reholder service for $5. They don't regrade the card. It just keeps whatever grade it had going in.

Thanks. I will give them a call. It isn't a valuable card, but I don't want it to get damaged from casual movement.

Be careful - they may well send the card back inside a penny sleeve inside a new holder. I have one card that was holdered that way, and it really detracts from the appearance.

Be aware: as always, they will absolutely kill you on the return shipping charges. Then too, probably their typical "45 day turn-around."

Maybe this is a good time to "re-mention" my suggestion for a group reholder sub. Only way to make the return shipping cost-effective IMO.

It may not be worth it for a $30 card then... I may as well buy it again.

  • If it is a mechanical error, they take care of all the shipping charges.
