I think the board should have a card show.

Totally random thought that popped into my head. But there's enough people here with enough material to organize a solid regional card show. Plan it months out, find a venue, promote it online, and rock and roll.

i'd suggest a dry state. perhaps Utah. or we'll never get a damn thing done.
<< <i>great idea...but this just popped into my head..why not a virtual card show here ??? of course i have not put much thought into this yet but...just a crazy idea....every couple of weeks memebers post like 5 or so cards they would like to sell with pics and members buy/sell to whomever wants them....from low end stuff to whatever else people want to part with....limit it to say a scanners worth of cards.. of course i still have trouble putting pics on here...any thoughts??? good, bad, or indifferent...ivan >>
Isn't that what the buy/sell/trade forum is like??

i have a Boogie board.
<< <i>if it's in Vegas, there's a LOT of other things i'd rather be doing than talking with a bunch of middle-aged men about pieces of cardboard. >>
No problem Neil ... the invite is for people who joined the board December 2010 or earlier.

Liquidating my collection for the 3rd and final time. Time for others to enjoy what I have enjoyed over the last several decades. Money could be put to better use.

I think there's some potential for this idea. Everyone could set up a table in their home, photograph it, and post scans. Something not quite like the BST board, just not sure what.
Maybe start all the threads "Card Show 1975 Topps Baseball". This way, people can search past card shows easier to look for their needs.
I think this has quite a few good possibilities.

I'm in though if the verdict is an online card show. (uhhh.. ebay)
I would seriously think about going to that. I would be curious what some of you are like in real life.
