There was a '64 SMS Quarter in PCGS MS66 at the Goldberg sale this past weekend... I thought it looked very nice and it was buried in a lot of 5 certified washingtons (Lot 1408) with a very low estimate ($70-$80). I put in a book bid of $1000 hoping to score it cheap, but obviously I wasn't the only one that noticed the 64 SMS in the lot as it hammered at $1150... still way too cheap and I probably should have bid higher. Chances are this one will be on the market soon, it was PCGS Cert No. 21284792. Good luck.

Thanks for the information ... I don't get the Goldbergs catalogs. Interestingly, that same coin sold in a Heritage auction four years ago for $3,737.50 (ha.com/412*821)! But prices were higher then for the dime and quarter than today ... I appreciate the info!
Still desperately seeking Susan, and wondering why I have not gotten a single solid lead on 1964 SMS coins or sets? Please PM me with details, especially if you have the 1964 SMS cent, nickel, or half available, or a complete set. The dimes and quarters are more available but there is still interest. Thanks! George
Haven't bumped this one in a long time ... looking for 1964 SMS coins, esp. the higher denominations or complete sets. Please PM me if you have any available. Thanks!

He's a great guy to work with, although I haven't seen him around lately, and he had a 1964 dime in 67 sms if I recall correctly.
