Cool article but those dopes really annoy me. They miss births, weddings etc but never miss a Superbowl. Great Priorities.

Who gets married on Super Bowl Sunday???
"My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. Our childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When we were insolent we were placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds - pretty standard really."

The family schedules all that stuff on the superbowl so they don't have to see them, lol.

Lol, I'd miss weddings too for the Super Bowl.

I'd like to know how these guys afford it though.

For their last super bowl they should sky dive nude into the stadium and not open their chutes. Morgan Freeman can narrate the action.

My first cousin decided to get married on 1/1/2000. This did not work for me, since I like going out late on New Year's Eve and watching college bowl games on New Year's Day. Because it was held in the afternoon (in Hawaii), I missed the Alabama-Michigan Orange Bowl, an overtime thriller that happened to be Shaun Alexander's final college game. I wasn't happy that day, I definitely wasn't happy after I realized what sort of game I missed, and I'm still not happy today. Haven't seen her since then...image

The NFL sets aside tickets for them at face value. Other than that, it's just a simple trip + hotel. Maybe a couple grand each year.

Great article. Thanks for sharing. I really admire their passion and it must have been awesome to witness so many historical games.
