When you get your grades back, and the lowest is PR65CAM, it's not bad.

    Nope, not bad at all.

Lotsa mirrors and bling there, I reckon. Some frost too, eh?

What's the deal on the Superbird? Did you cherrypick it from an entire 52 set?
That's on my list of things to find... so far no luck but I'm always looking.
It seems like too many people now know about the variety.

The Superbird is really not a rare variety. I have heard mentioned that perhaps 40%+ of the 1952 Proof Washington Quarters are Superbirds. In fact, I recently purchased 5 unopened 1952 Proof Sets, and 4 had Superbirds.

I've heard this "Superbird" talk for some time but am afraid I'm totally in the dark without some diagnostic pictures. Anyone?

    Nice submission.

I would like to see the 1967 SMS SP67CAM dime. Cameo SMS dimes are rare birds indeed. It must have very, very nice mirrors.

At a Santa Clara show some years ago I searched through proof and SMS sets a So. Cal. dealer had. We chatted for a while and I saw one of his helpers setting aside some sets in a separate box. I asked the dealer about it. He said the Rick Tomaska had perviously looked through his sets and picked out some he would buy. The helper was setting aside the sets RT picked out.

The dealer showed me a 1956 SMS set that RT had picked out. In it was a 1965 dime that looked like a Cameo or DCAM proof. The frost on the devices on both sides of the coin was thick and even. The best part though was the fields. The fields on both sides looked like a deep, jet black pool of water. An amazing SMS dime, particularly since it was a 1965.

Wish that I had gotten to the set firstimage
