got them both for the bargain prices of 7 million total. Does add veteran bats, but no defense value at all.

compared to the Jays pawning off Vernon Wells' $84m albatross on the Angels, that's nothing....though I can't understand why the Rays gave Damon $5+ million. There's a pretty good chance that they just bid against themselves.
