I've got a new silver project...

I purchased this set from a member here last week and it arrived today. All of the early mercs are AG/G
and don't look to nice in the album. Some of the later dates are VFish...
I get a lot of first shots at picking through 90% when it comes into my favorite shop so I figured it would be easy enough to start replacing dates with better condition examples.
I've done that same thing with junk Franklin & Washington sets in the past and it's a good way to keep some
fun as a collector and stash some silver at the same time.
I pretty much knew I would not care for the album so the first thing I did was put the dimes into something respectable.

Both albums have their pros and cons - looks like you'll need to put together two sets!
<< <i>I actually like the original album better. Can see both sides of the coins. >>
This album shows both sides...
I'd choose the early 1960's album made in America over the US Mint album made in China every day.

This will be tougher than the Franklin & Washington sets,
especially for the teens and 20s. Sounds like fun though.
It sounds like a really fun project. Enjoy!
