How big is the collector base for the $25 gold unc AGEs?

I pose this question because I am still a bit astonished by the high prices and demand of the 2006-2008 W $25 (1/2-ounce) AGEs. I note several dealers have not stopped buying these coins for the past couple of years. When I combine this information with the prices of the 1990 and 1991 issues, it leads me to believe that there is a solid base of 10-20,000 collectors of this series--which is pretty impressive.

Anyone else care to chip in?

I've wondered about that, too, but it's been going on a long time now which leads me to believe that there's some real action out there. Perhaps it is spurred by telemarketers, but maybe not... Anyone got any insights from their own data?

I recently sold (5) of the 2006-Ws and I'm thinking about selling a few more. The prices are strong and I can only assume that someone has decided that the mintages are a "sweet spot" for promotability in a series that is somewhat popular with even more potential as gold becomes part of a new standard.

    Don't sell them all.
