    Hard to imagine any circulation coin being a 70 after that rough ride.

    Certainly shows how "bag marks" are deposited on the newly minted coins surface. There was lots of dismay with collectors when the first Presidential Dollars appeared in circulation. Even OBW coins were horrid, this is how much of this occurs. To the Mint, these coins were produced for circulation, not collectors, so handling never became an issue. I loved the shot of the "ballistic" bags ready for shipment and also the stack of blank dies waiting for the single squeeze with the master hub.
