Newbie to forum

Hello, I am new to this forum and would like to offer items for sell. Is there a "required reading" thread for rules associated with offering items for sell? Are there fees involved, etc, etc? Thanks for any feedback.

Basically, you're allowed to bump your own thread only once a day...if you're selling 4 things, they all should be in one thread, not 4 seperate ones. Use you PM (private message, the little icon on the right that looks like a lock) to reply/work out the deal. I noticed you dont have the icon, you need to enable your PM. Go into your personal profile and enable that (Allow Private Messages.)

As a courtesy, when something is sold, edit the thread to indcate that is has been sold, or on hold pending payment. Make sure to state your accepted forms of payment in the thread and putting your asking price in the thread just saves time of answering inquires. If you're flexible on the price, say you are in the thread.
    Keep the language clean.

I'm sure there's more others may want to add, but these are the basics I think.

    EDIT:
Oh, forgot to add, pictures in the thread will help with your sales. People want to see what you're offering.

Good luck and welcome to a great place to trade inventory with others who have the coin bug.

  • Thanks to everyone for the WELCOMES and the information and advice. Just wondering.....how can I decipher the abbreviations? I have figured out a lot of them but some I'm still scratching my head on some. Thanks again.

Welcome. You should say hi in the appropriate forum. E.g., "U.S. Coin Forum"

You can do a search on acronyms and you will see a few threads and definitions. For selling here the common ones include:

    WTB: wanted to buy
    FS: for sale
    FSHO: for sale here only

    Welcome aboard.
It looks like you have already gotten plenty of good advice. I might add that I think it will also help you if you
establish some credibility over on the US and/or Foriegn coin forums by participating in and contributing to some of the
    discussions over there.

I hate acronyms, so this has been very helpful for me.
