71 Topps grades available/advice on recolored cards

My 71 grades came in yesterday. Pretty standard and grades are below. A couple of the recolored cards are still in my "need to leave feedback" bucket in ebay. What do you guys do in such situations? I'll probably contact the vendors before hand to get an explanation/refund. However for the 71 set, is this simply the cost of collecting a graded set?

Kosco - came in a 30 card lot
Gotta dig on Stargell and Blyleven. Blyleven was a single card purchase (and second time I submitted).

<< <i>Wasn't waverly. The Shannon was from a dealer with over 6000 positive and 100%. Also, the Gentry, Lersch, Manual, and the Batting Leaders were bought from him. He gets full benefit of doubt.

Par for the course on 71s, especially if they come from many different sources. I personally don't believe experienced dealers sell high grade hi#'s raw unless they know they are recolored, just my opinion.
first of all, i can't stand submitting this issue to PSA anymore, and it took me a long time to figure this stuff out.
back in '05 i subbed a few hundred of these and a few dozen came back EOR.....i shrugged my shoulders and buried the cards since i had a lot of graded ones to sell.
more recently, i got curious, particularly after reading about the experiences of others with these cards, so i pulled out a stack of offenders and a loupe.
anyone care to guess what i found? ok. nothing.
of course, the horse was long gone from the barn, so it didn't really make sense to bish and moan about it.
the handful of cards i sent in for grading last year all got slabbed.....the ones i felt didn't warrant the 2nd try got sold raw.
i don't believe for a second that anyone in the grading room is going to sit there with a loop and inspect each and every card.....the blacklight? yeah it can detect alterations, but it might visually create them, too.
i can't stand this set. i won't say hate................oops.
just said it.
I read the $4 poppage post and didn't know the first three numbers pertained to the grader. I had 177 as well (thru 17729797).
<< <i>Thanks for the responses. Now that my membership is up I'll be submitting to SGC for awhile and will probably put the recolored and minimum size ones through- for research's sake. Will let you know how that turns out.

No offense, but I don't believe those who say that's the grader. First of all, that's a lot of graders on staff to need three digits. Second, that only allows 99,999 cards per grader. Third, I don't think they would actually expose that sort of data in the cert #.
Think about it this way - we all believe that mixed subs take a lot longer to pop, yet they STILL have numbers in the same sequence, right? The only logical reason I can see for mixed subs taking longer is that more than one grader is involved, which shoots a massive hole in the grader# theory, doesn't it?
Working on the following: 1970 Baseball PSA, 1970-1976 Raw, World Series Subsets PSA, 1969 Expansion Teams PSA, Fleer World Series Sets, Texas Rangers Topps Run 1972-1989

He just didn't have a clue of what to look for on the corner/edges to detect the black marker. He got a great deal on it and now he knows why. Lesson learned.
It's a great looking, almost worthless set.
Because the black borders are so fragile and susceptible to chipping, many cards over the years have been touched up with black magic marker.
You can't see these changes well with ordinary white light.
