Some recently graded coins.....

These and a few others have been sitting waiting for me to image and catalogue after arriving back from the USA about a month ago. I especially like the Straits Settlements coins.
Here's a few things that arrived back a few ago from a vacation in the USA and I've just gotten around to putting them in my coin cattledog.
South Africa 1952 5s PR66 - pulled this out of a proof set and I am almost certain it's not a proof. Submitted it as such to PCGS who slabbed it as a proof. I've since been told by an expert on SA coins that it was fairly common for the PR crowns to be substituted with PL or specimen coins from the same year. He believes it's not a proof either. In any case it's a a big lump of very pretty silver.

Straits Settlements 1927 10c MS65

Straits Settlements 1935 5c MS66

Great Britain 1890 1s MS64

Australia 1945Y 1s MS64BN

Nice grades. I like the 1890 shilling as well. The Straits Settlements pieces are lovely.
If it makes you feel any better, I have gambled and lost a couple of times on SA crown coins advertised as proofs that were just very nice business strike coins.
the Straits coins are beautiful and so is that lovel Aussie copper!
