I got a message from Don Willis saying that an anonymous benefactor made a large donation to PCGS with the stipulation that I be unbanned.
Seriously, apparently someone did ask the powers-that-be to reinstate me (without my knowledge or request), and it seems that I was. So here I am, again.
I saw the thread discussing my disappearance and appreciated the kind words.
