ok if a penny buys you .12 then what does a nickel buy you? and if a nickel buys you .12 then why pay 5x as much for the same 12 minutes? If you place a nickel in do you get 4 pennies in change? Why do you get penalized if you only have a nickel Im lost with what the sign says.

The maximum allowable time to park in the parking spot is 12 minutes... you can either pay a cent or a nickel to buy that 12 minutes of time... your choice.
