A pattern is probably something i'll never have. BUT...last year I got myself a book on patterns and it's one of the most fascinating books I have in my opinion. Turn it to any page and there is something amazing. Plz more pix k thx.

Patterns are really cool....and usually quite rare.
Dr. Feuchtwanger again attempted to interest the US Mint in using his metal for minor coinage in 1865 and stuck several examples of this Private Pattern.
This is one of the few I have owned, but what a coin!
Provenance. Ex: Marks (Bowers and Ruddy, 11/1972), lot 1085; Austin (Bowers and Ruddy, 5/1974), lot 1115); Fairfield (Bowers and Ruddy, 10/1977), lot 124; unknown intermediary; William R. "Rudy" Sieck Collection (Bowers and Ruddy, 7/1981), lot 2418, which realized $44,000; Steve Ivy; Martin Paul; Mark Feld; Auction '82 (Paramount, 8/1982), lot 1826, where it brought $26,000. From The Lemus Collection, Queller Family Collection Part Two. (#61893
These Oregon $5 and $10 pieces are thought to be white metal/lead die trials (also collected with true patterns).
"My friends who see my collection sometimes ask what something costs. I tell them and they are in awe at my stupidity." (Baccaruda, 12/03).I find it hard to believe that he (Trump) rushed to some hotel to meet girls of loose morals, although ours are undoubtedly the best in the world. (Putin 1/17) Gone but not forgotten. IGWT, Speedy, Bear, BigE, HokieFore, John Burns, Russ, TahoeDale, Dahlonega, Astrorat, Stewart Blay, Oldhoopster, Broadstruck, Ricko, Big Moose.
OMG ya catch me with my pants down. Way back I did a thread as Legend had some patterns, I believe trade dollars, that only diff from Trade dollar was there was a ship off in the distance.
wow I am seriously ashamed, as I cannot remember the number or what it was called.
I know Legend handled the sale (Bruce a little help here?)
I'm truly enjoying this awesome thread but have nothing to contribute. I haven't started down the dark path of pattern collecting.............................. Yet..................MJ
Walker Proof Digital Album Fellas, leave the tight pants to the ladies. If I can count the coins in your pockets you better use them to call a tailor. Stay thirsty my friends......

This one is no longer a pattern. It was determined to be a CN piece, probably Bronzed at the mint.
