The Official Goldbully-RYK, Stillers vs. Ravens, Silver American Eagle Challenge

Some of you might know that the biggest football rivalry in the NFL is being played once again tomorrow afternoon.
Goldbully, a Ravens fan, and myself, a Steelers fan, have, in the spirit of the Duke Brothers, made a wager on the outcome of the game. If the Steelers win, Goldbully will donate a Silver American Eagle (or the cash equivalent) to the James Harrison Family Foundation. In the unlikely event that the Ravens win, I will donate a Silver American Eagle (or the cash equivalent), to the Willis McGahee Foundation.
Feel free to get in on the action by offering to "bet" with or against us or to find another betting partner for one of the other games this weekend.
It's a fun way for coin collectors to give something back to the community and to those less fortunate.

Actually, that name seems more apporpriate for someone in Longacre's family
<< <i>I'll make it easy... I'll just donate $50 to each foundation. >>
no, RYK is Randolph Duke and Goldbully Mortimer Duke
The Steelers and Ravens are Billy Ray Valentine and Louis Winthorpe III, respectively

It was easy to donate to the James Harrison Family Foundation... PayPal baby! The Willis McGahee Foundation required a little more effort, but it was worth it.

I made a contribution to the Harrison Foundation last year. I hope that I am not forced into making a contribution to McGahee's tomorrow.

GO STEELERS!!!!!!!!!!
<< <i>Discreet donation, now who's going to post that Jamie Lee Curtis still photo that we all know and love :-) >>
It will happen after the Steelers lose, and be RYK's way of committing forum suicide.

Maybe we can get together when I get up there to see a Rams/Hawks game..

Ahhh - but if Seattle beats Chicago and Green Bay beats Atlanta, then Seahawks have another home game.

WAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEE UUUUUUUPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!
Ok, I now have that out of my system.
It would be funny if the NFC Championship is played in Seattle. That being said, being a Bears fan, I have to tell you to...
WAAAAAAKKKKKKKEEEEE UUUUUUUPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!
Matt Hasselloser. Please.
<< <i>Go Seahawks. I will donate 10% of the sportsbook ticket I have in my pocket if they win. Moneyline! >>
I do hope you won't cry to hard when they become BEAR meat in Chicago
it is so cold on the lakefront this time of year
birds of prey just can't seem to fly to well when covered in ice and BEAR claws.....
Bears 45 - Seahawks- 10

You sound just like those Saints fans I sat with at the game. Before the game, anyway.
My Ravens spanked your guys in the first half for sure.
I believe the Ray Rice fumble was the key to the disastrous second half.
Ravens just lost it in the second half.
Talk about a penalty filled blood bath!!!!!
Talk about mutiple sacks on both QB's!!!
But, it was still a true Steelers/Ravens matchup!!!!
My contribution to the James Harrison Fund has been processed!!!!
Good Luck in the AFC Championship Game!!!
I am going to make a contribution to McGahee's Foundation as soon as I check out of the forum. He does good work for the underprivileged children of Baltimore.
I look forward to the next game between the Steelers and Ravens in the fall.

and there's plenty of them.
Baltimore is consistently one of the poorest performers in stae education.
Go 2 blocks north of the inner harbor and you're in a poor neighborhood already.
Baltimore used to be a steel town, too. Not anymore.

I guess I called that one! It should be Epic!
Living in the Midwest and having to listen to Bears talk all the time, I kind of hope it comes down to Steelers vs. Bears so I can hand terrible towels out to all my Bear friends to wipe the egg off their face!
<< <i>Beautiful, a fight to see who gets beaten by the Patriots. I love it! >>
Are we a bit nervous at halftime????

I have found that trash talking is most effective and enjoyable once the Lombardi is in hand.
I wasn't real happy when Heinz Ward said that the "Ravens will be thinking about this loss for a long time."
That was uncalled for.

That's what winners say after a war. That game was a war and it took it's toll. Steelers OL is down to 3rd & 4th stringers, but I have no doubt whatsoever that they will come out on top. Jets are playing out of their mind beating 2 great teams on their homefield. I just cant see it happening a 3rd time.
Kinda like when the U.S. won WWII?
I can remember the citizens speaking that acclaimed war mantra......."the 'axis' will be thinking about this loss for a long time!!!"
Thanks for the teachable moment!

I agree with Goldbully on this point and was surprised when I heard Hines Ward's comment. I prefer to compliment and celebrate the effort of the losing opponent (like Tomlin and Roethlisberger did).
