They have the average of a PSA 8.5 1968 Mantle at $419. What pricing is this? They averaged the last 2 prices and that was it. Also, where was the 8.5 on the bay for like $330 something?

The average only covers a certain timeframe (maybe 1 year). Any auctions before that timeframe aren't counting in but are shown to give the historical trends. Sometimes it misses auctions. If you know an auction number for the one that sold for $330, send it to Bobby and he'll probably be able to add it in. It could also be posted but in the wrong place. They're pretty good at fixing errors when you find them.

I look at averages very loosely, you need to look at the individual sale prices and view the scans of each card to get a better idea.
Make sure to get the GOLD membership if you want to view the photos.

Averages are based off sales going back one year.

The heights of Yao Ming and Muggsy Bogues combined, then divided by two equals a guy 6' four and a half inches. So much for averages.
