With all the steroids allegations surrounding Barry Bonds, I do not see him being elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame anytime soon. Will any Pirate be elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame again? Since Bonds left, who has been on the Pirates that is even in the HOF discussion? It is a sad time for the Pirates and their fans.

Bert Blyleven will be inducted this summer . . . he played a big part in the 1979 WS champion team.

Danny Murtaugh got real close in the 2009 Veteran's Committee vote but it didn't carry momentum to 2010 -- nice manager but not sure he deserved it anyway.

After that, things look pretty bleak -- other than an out of the blue Veteran's Committee inductee -- maybe Parker or Al Oliver (my 2nd favorite Pirate) because their fifteen years are up.
