Looks like a fake. The 1 has no top serif and a blop of metal instead, the 9 looks too open, the lower curve in the 2 is funky, and the 4 is too thin. The Mint mark looks like a backward Z instead of an S.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
The reverse legends look unusually well struck. Is that a sign of anything? There is something odd about this piece but i cannot put my finger on it. Is the placing of the mm kosher?
It does not look like my 1924 S peace dollar. What struck me is how the rays seem to fade out completely close to the eagle; close to liberty's head. The '2' in 1924 looks wonky. No like.
And not only is the mint mark strange, but there is a ray pointing at the mint mark which I don't see on the one in my dansco.

Could be a 1935 S except this coin is a 1924.
A lot of things look strange to me on it. The foothills are way off.
And not only is the mint mark strange, but there is a ray pointing at the mint mark which I don't see on the one in my dansco.
